Serendip is the jazz students at the Norwegian Academy of Music’s own festival, and a guaranteed to be a great experience of new and pioneering jazz. Serendip presents the music you've been looking for but didn’t know existed, in original ensembles you've always wanted to hear. Susanna released her 11th record Triangle last year. An "Artistic triumph ..." - Dagsavisen, "Musical Pleasure" – GAFFA, and "A beautiful piece" - Klassekampen, are just a few excerpts from the accolades the record received. Along with full band, Susanna comes to Serendip to share her expressive and occasionally dramatic music, a highlight to look forward to!

Master Oogway is a forward-leaning quartet that draws its ballast from some of the heavier expressions in the jazz. You will experience a tight interaction with spontaneity, excitement and energy! The self-composed catchy melodies have a delicious mix of swinging bass riffs and free elements.

Pre-Echo is a brand-new band comprised of jazz students who use poppa electronics in their modern jazz. Interwoven with improvised interludes, complex jazz harmonies and moments of dissonance, and catchy melodies, it forms a buzzing soundscape. Challenging energy and excitement generates a great sound!
