On your way to and from Victoria: MUSICITY!

Yet another super co-op in the Conexions series; our dedicated curator Fiona Talkington has made musicity.info available also for Oslo! The Musicity programme is a web-based project, already a hit in London, Singapore and Tokyo, which engages musicians to compose original music for a location in the city which inspires them.

Behind the project is UK based Musicity Director, radio presenter, producer and DJ Nick Luscombe to collaborate so that Norwegian musicians have the opportunity to take part in this internationally recognised project.

We’re delighted that Oslo Kommune and Kulturnatt have come on board to support the project which launches on September 13th in Oslo.  Artists who have written pieces for Musicity Oslo include Susanna, whose moving composition comes from the emotions and places resonant of 22nd July tragedy; Tape to Zero who have collaborated with British composer Iain Chambers for a piece for the Opera House; and Knut Reiersrud who has written for Oslo Domkirke.

The music will be available to the public via the Musicity app at the relevant locations which will all be listed on the Musicity website. The complete program for the Oslo Kulturnatt can be found here.

The project is supported by The City of Oslo.
