A terrific and scientific search for that perfect beat

In the US and elsewhere many consider jazz and hip hop as two sides of the same coin, with musicians gliding effortlessly between genres depending on desire and need. Makaya McCraven, just like Kamasi Washington and the collective around Kendrick Lamar, is a good example of exactly this. Equally comfortable as support for Wu-Tang Clan as being on stage with Archie Shepp, and blind to the purist bans and no-go zones. Just as real jazz has always been.

McCraven is often referred as «beat-visionary», and at In the Moment we hear why. This is music for both head and heart, not to mention leg rythym!
