The piano trio is in many ways jazz’s bread and butter. Therefore, this fall we have decided to put some extra focus on this essential format. The first in line is the relatively young trio with Espen Berg at the piano, and whose debut album Mønster from 2015 received much attention and quality noises from jazz press. Later they generated happiness for a whole range of festivals and become ambassadors for NTNU, Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Trondheim.

All the music is composed by Berg and is modern, outgoing and accessible, with copious references to the melodic American tradition and Nordic sounds, and is presented with a not insubstantial temperament.
