Prog-infused power trio feat. guitar legend.

Rock inspired jazz is experiencing some of its best times. The quality is soaring, with Hedvig Mollestad, Bushman's Revenge and hard hitting Elephant9 at the forefront.

We nevertheless dare to claim that none of these would be conceivable without the legacy of Terje Rypdal, the pioneering guitarist in Norwegian contemporary jazz. Some four decades after he, along with Garbarek and the other big five, turned Norwegian jazz into a global brand, the old lion remains a mighty presence!

Storløkken, Lofthus and Eilertsen fetch as much inspiration from classic progressive rock as jazz, and together they comprise of a bulldozer of a band. Along with Rypdal, we get rumble in addition to a spiritual superstructure.

The standard for 2017 is set. Let it be a Rypdal-year!
