Honest John explores the area where jazz and contemporary music ends and begins at the same time. Here improvisation is in itself a composition technique, and we get elements of free jazz with a melodic inspiration from contemporary music to a hybrid of angular rhythms and positive energy. Band leader and founder is Klaus Ellerhusen Holm.

The five musicians in the band are some of the leading young musicians in the country, which has already acquired a knowledge of international importance through bands such as Zanussi 5, Ballrogg, Trondheim Jazz Orchestra, Sinepuxent, Ola Kvernberg Trio and Sheriffs of Nothing Ness.
