Gloriously genre-defying improv trio.

There are some artists who tend to go a little under the radar of the wider public. David Torn is one of them, though it is perhaps more accurate to say that he flies over the radar. Without a doubt, he has had a career most can only dream about. David Bowie, Madonna, Jan Garbarek and Laurie Anderson are just a microscopic range among the many Torn has worked with.

In Sun of Goldfinger it is more than word games that get pushed to the limit. Jazz also gets run over by something serious. Along with Tim Berne and Ches Smith (from Snake Oil and Ceramic Dog) they tear and wear at the music, all the while improvising from soaring moods into the spinal cord splintering noise parties and taking us further, always further, into the unknown.
