Northern Concept is the new band of Alta based guitarist and composer John-Kåre Hansen which released a critically acclaimed record last year. Hansen is known for its warm guitar tone and the ability to tie together the international jazz melodic tradition of northern, arctic impulses.

Now he has taken a step further with his new band Northern Concept which, through melodic and groove-based jazz, focuses on melody, improvisation and rhythm. Composed of musicians who all have a strong personal musical signature, the band has earned praise from non-other than John Scofield!
