DaMaNA, eller Dag Magnus Narvesen Oktett, is the musical playpen to the Stavangen drummer Dag Magnus Narvesen. Through this gang he has assembled a dream team of musicians from the generation that now has begun to push thirty and is ready to stake their place on the musical throne.

Stavanger has oil and free jazz, but even if Narvesen surfs the same waves as Frode Gjerstad and Pål Nilssen-Love, he has mapped out his own course. The music is anchored in progressive jazz, but does some extended detours to most corners of the world including the classical tradition.
