Urgent and dangerous jazz, with a burning heart

What’s most important, the collective or individuals that make it up? In jazz, as elsewhere, the question remains unanswered, and although Amok Amor claims a ‘socialist’ jazz approach, the Marx quotes are more an expression of a progressive community commitment than a fierce collectivism. Regardless of ideology, the band consist of four extremely strong instrumentalists who play for life and bleed for the team!

Amok Amor is led by Swedish Peter Eldh, who has had considerable playing experience with Norwegian Marius Neset. What was originally a pure Berlin based trio has grown into a transatlantic quartet after the amazing avant-garde blower from New York, Peter Evans, joined the team. It is harsh and dangerous and heavy, yet with room for some quieter sections. Like an evil eye from protest march.
