Music for a while is fronted by the uncrowned queen of cabaret, Tora Augestad, a of Norwegian jazz musician. Together this group creates personal, organic and creative versions of everything they take on, be it known cabaret songs or hits from the classical repertoire. Timeless songs are awakened from oblivion through variations that are both touching and surprising, not least because of Tora Augestad's outstanding communication skills and voice control and the band's playful and humorous handling of the material. Music for a while steals uninhibitedly and blends Schubert, Poulenc and Handel with Kurt Weill, and they brag about it afterwards. With good reason, we say, the result is chamber music of the highest class!

The album "Graces that refrain" was released in fall 2012 and thrilled all critics.
